My computer had been on the signing out screen for the past 3 hours. I suspect its stuck because my C: drive doesn't have enough space. (my E: drive is still spaceful)
Hi All,
Having an issue currently where one of our Windows 7 machines is stuck on the 'Logging Off' screen. The machine is on another site and i wont be able to physically get to it until Monday. The user said that he came in this morning and it was stuck on the Logging Off screen (which tells me he doesnt turn his machine off) and then he turned it off with the Power Button. Once the machine is powered up again it launches right back into the Logging Off screen. Any help would be much appreciated as im a little stumped short of launching in safe mode and doing a system restore on Monday.
Any ideas how I could interrupt this signing out and get back to the other logon user?
I've tried letting the battery almost die which trhgers hibernation. But sadly on unhibernate, it is still showing the signing out screen.

Just hold (not just press, but truly hold) the power button until the screen goes black. Wait few seconds and press the power button again - the computer will boot in a regular sequence. You may see the message below - just select Start Windows Normally
Login and free up some space :-)

Sometimes your computer turns on as you'd expect, you get to the Windows login screen, but then something happens. Your computer might freeze up, reboot on its own, or just stop and not respond to anything you do.
Maybe you see the login screen but after entering your password, nothing happens. On the other hand, maybe you can log in but then Windows freezes and you have to reboot manually. Then again, maybe Windows seems to start but your desktop never shows up and all you can do is move your mouse around a blank screen.
